Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has backed calls by the Minority in Parliament for the setting up of a presidential commission of enquiry into recent market fires. The Minority early this week filed a motion in Parliament seeking to secure a resolution to compel the president to set up the commission. But the Speaker of Parliament amended the motion leading to Minority accusations of a cover-up.Speaking to Joy News, former President Kufuor says there are still many questions unanswered."We want to know why there are fires all over the place these days, we want to know if the fires are just accidents or if there is some devil in the works causing confusion for our nation."We can only do this through investigations. Thorough, thorough investigations, and it is only the state that can do such an investigation."
