President John Dramani Mahama will join hundreds of dignitaries at the National Theatre for a choral concert to begin the weeklong activities marking the first anniversary of the death of Ghana’s late President John Atta Mills.
President Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on July 24 last year, three days after marking his 68th birthday.
On the occasion of his 69th birthday, the Mills anniversary planning committee is holding a coral concert to eulogize the late president who is seen as a symbol of peace.
Anniversary planning committee spokesperson Kofi Nyantekyi told Joy News the concert is billed to evoke memories of the late President.
He said there will be performances from the Ghana Dance Ensemble, the Wninneba Youth Choir, a play enacted by Professor Yartey, song ministrations and bible readings.
