Host of the just ended 20th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Kwami Sefa Kayi, has urged the police to revoke the gun permit of dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy.
The host of Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning show said, the dancehall artiste does not have the emotional balance to be a gun owner.
“This is not the first time he has drawn a gun out in public, the police should revoke his permit or license,” he added.

Stonebwoy was seen pulling a gun in the early hours of Sunday when his camp and that of his rival Shatta Wale, clashed on stage at the VGMA.

The pandemonium broke out shortly after Stonebwoy was announced the winner of ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’.
Shatta Wale and his fans were seen walking towards the stage, his intentions unclear. The brawl that erupted between the two camps had people rushing outside to protect themselves.
Stonebwoy has since apologised for causing panic at the event with his gun.

But Sefa Kayi said the two dancehall artistes should be made to sign a bond of good behaviour and suffer the consequence, when there is a breach.
“If they go against the bond they should go to prison for two years,” he added.
The Chairman General as he is affectionately called, stated if a strong message is not sent, people will think the law does not work in this country.
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are currently in police custody while another person has been arrested for using pepper spray at the event.
