Parliament from next week is expected to consider and approve about 42 budget estimates of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
Consequently, the House has extended its sitting from next week Monday, December 10, 2007.
Parliament normally starts sitting at 1000am on Tuesdays in the morning and adjourns at 1400 hours but due to the heavy work load and considering the few weeks left for the House to go on the Christmas break, it has tasked itself to finish all outstanding businesses.
Mr Abraham Ossei Aidooh, Majority Leader and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs who read the Business Statement for the eighth week ending Friday, December 14, 2007 therefore urged the legislators to attend sittings regularly and punctually and also to participate actively in the debates.
The Appropriation Bill would then be passed into law by Parliament for the disbursement of funds of the 2008 Budget.
