They are expected to play together for the Political Parties Team against the Black Stars oldies in the gala on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, two days to the delivery of judgment by the Supreme Court on the election petition.
Organisers of the event, Pro Media Consult say the decision to get the two figures of the two leading political parties in the country to participate in the event, forms part of efforts to propagate peace before and after the judges deliver judgment on the petition challenging John Mahama's presidency.
The "Peace Match 2013" aims to provide the needed catalyst for the country’s crave for peace ahead of the August 29, verdict.
The maiden edition of the Political Tolerance Soccer Gala was held in May, 2012, under the chairmanship of Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi, the President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs and a former member of the Council of State.
