The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will publish its recommendations for electoral reforms later Monday September 9.
The planned publication follows calls by the Electoral Commission (EC) for political parties, civil society groups and individuals to submit ideas to reform the country’s electoral system ahead of the 2016 polls.
NPP Chairman, Jake Obestebi-Lampte, told Joy New key among the party's recommendations would be the need for a clear definition of some terms such as over-voting, biometric verification among others.
"What happened for the past eight months [at the Supreme court] is there for everybody to see. The majority of the Judges found that there were irregularities, malpractices and omissions on the part of the Electoral Commission, all these must be addressed", Mr Obetsebi-Lamptey said.
Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) George Lawson, says his party is yet to meet to put together proposals for electoral reforms.
