Mr. Kofi Jumah, a former deputy Minister in the erstwhile John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration has described as a joke, the creation of the Public Sector Reforms Ministry by that regime.
Mr. Kofi Jumah, who served as a deputy Local Government Minister in the Kufuor-led administration, says the creation of the Public Sector Reforms Ministry did not make any impact as the status quo of the mundane way of doing things in the public sector, is still unchanged, years after the Kufuor administration exited.
The government in May 2005, created the Ministry of Public Sector Reforms (MPSR) which was headed by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom to among others, provide institutional home for all public sector reforms.
But speaking Thursday on Adom Fm’s "Dwaso Nsem", Kofi Jumah stated that the prevailing circumstances in the public sector is that of "organized chaos" and sordid.
The former Kumasi Mayor described the situation as "pathetic" saying successive ministers, especially Education, should be "canned" for failing to bring their expertise to bare on their job.
