Ghana have been drawn in the same group with Libya, Ethiopia and Congo for the 2014 African Nations Championship.
The home-based national team, who were seeded are in Group C and will play their group opponents at the Free State Stadium in Mangaung following Wednesday's draw in Cairo, Egypt.
Ghana advanced to the Championship after picking one of the three slots from Zone West B.
The 16-nation tournament to be staged by South Africa will kick-off on 11 January and finishes on 1 February 2014.
Next year's competition is designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
