Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Isaac Opeele Boateng wants the club's Board of Directors to hand Opoku Nti the Chief Executive job permanently.
The Asante Kotoko board handed interim leader Opoku Nti a three-month extension to oversee the side’s start to the Premier League season early this month. His appointment is however on an interim basis as the board’s search for a substantive administrative head continues. But Coach Opeele, who stands in the history books as the youngest coach to
have ever handled Kotoko, wants Opoku Nti to be maintained."I have personally come out to challenge Kotoko that if they think they are a better team than Hearts who have won the league on six consecutive times then they should also try and do the same, but something might hit Kotoko along the way if they change Opoku Nti, that is my fear," he told Joy sports"For me what Opoku Nti has done he should be handed the job permanently because immediately they change him something might happen because Kotoko like Jose Mourinho said ''Real Madrid is not about football is about Politics'', likewise Kotoko which is not football but politics."The board has to be careful and know how to work with Opoku Nti, they have to support him and make him the permanent CEO because beating Hearts is enough for them to confirm Opoku Nti to help Kotoko grow."
