Black Stars ace midfielder is urging Ghanaians to start buying tickets to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup after a highly polished performance against the Pharaohs of Egypt ended 6- 1.
Sulley Muntari who scored from the spot to register the team's fifth goal, displayed confidence on the field and more confidence in a post-match interview assuring Ghanaians that a return leg in Egypt becomes a formality.
Ghana's Black Stars clashed with Egypt in a crucial World Cup Qualifying clash which will see the winner, after a return match, pick one of Africa's five slots for the FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
It was a rare Ghanaian performance. Goals came in early after Asamoah Gyan picked out his spot in the 18-yard box. Essien managed o force an own goal from experienced Goma. Egypt pulled one back through a penalty after Rashid Sumaila brought down an opponent
But the Stars increased the tally after Sulley Muntari floated a freekick into the 18-yard box, for Waris to head home the third goal. Asamoah Gyan again got on the score sheet through another header.
Persistent and ruthless, Sulley converted a penalty kick to score the fifth before Christian Atsu straight from the bench, fired home the sixth.
With 6 goals against 1, the AC Milan regular announced " everyone should get his ticket to Brazil"
He called the results "amazing" especially for all Muslims.
Asamoah Gyan, captain of the side confessed he "honestly didn't expect six goals today" although he was confident of a win.
Coach Kwesi Appiah said he was sure of a good performance as long as he had an injury-free squad.
Egypt's coach, Bob Bradley who has now suffered his third defeat against the Stars said he was worried about the effect of the attacking prowess of Majid Waris and Asamoah Gyan on his defence.
He said he would have to work on his defence. Bradlley accepted responsibility for a poor performance and said he would take the blame if Egypt fails to qualify for the World Cup.
