Komphela, who parted ways with Free State Stars at the beginning of December, is poised to succeed Clinton Larsen at the Team of Choice.

Larsen was fired last month after picking up five points from nine games at the helm following his return to United from Bloemfontein Celtic in mid-October.

"Yes, we are interested to sign Steve Komphela," Kadodia confirmed to KickOff.com.

"We hope to finalise the deal before Wednesday."
