Kotoko’s Chairman Opoku Nti has told sportscrusaderonline.com in an interview that he believes it is improper for football fans and a section of the Ghana media to blame Coach Maxwell Konadu for including 8 players of Kotoko in his CHAN squad.
According to him including 8 players from Kotoko should only tell the rest of the World that Kotoko has the best of materials in the local league which buttresses their position on the Premier League table.
Opoku Nti says criticizing Coach Maxwell Konadu is simply unfair because both Hearts and Aduana Stars once upon a time enjoyed monopoly in the Black Stars team under coaches Jones Attuquayefio and Herbert Addo.
“8 players from Kotoko only mean our players are the best on the local scene and are in a world of their own which cannot currently be matched by any team. Rather than criticize Coach Konadu we must appreciate him better for not being bias but choosing only the best for the CHAN team” Opoku Nti said.
