Benard Mornah, the General Secretary of the PNC has raised doubts about the NPP government’s ability to fulfil all of its promises to Ghanaians before December when the administration will be set for a change of hands.
Mr. Mornah said even though much can be done within the eight months left for the President to leave office, considering the enormity of the tasks on the timetable, most of which are yet to be translated into practical working policies, government may have to step up its game.
Speaking in an interview on the Super Morning Show on Joy FM, Mr Mornah cited government’s laptop project, the maintenance of a single digit inflation and the need to significantly improve the living standards of the common man on the street as issues yet to be addressed.
The New Patriotic Party under the leadership ends its term come December and would press for a renewed mandate with Nana Akufo-Addo as flag bearer.
There have however been criticism from the opposition on the president’s failure to execute the several campaign promises made to Ghanaians.
