Fire gutted a house at New Edubiase in the Adansi South District last Sunday causing extensive damage to personal property worth thousands of Ghana cedis.
It took personnel from New Edubiase and Obuasi Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) some hours to put out the fire.
However, there was no casualty.
Mr Samuel Darkwah, the landlord, said the fire was suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault started from one of the rooms which later spread to four other rooms and a sitting room.
He appealed to management of GNFS to equip the New Edubiase Fire Station with equipment to help fight fire effectively.Source: GNA
