Business tycoon and board chairman of the World Trade Centre in Accra, Togbe Afede XIV, will be leading a delegation of prominent business professionals from Ghana to participate in a trade and investment mission in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, Brazil from the 29th of March to 3rd April 2014.
The visit is to allow Brazilian trade missions and other companies interested in exploring new business opportunities in Ghana to come to the country and meet government officials for the execution of such businesses.
It is also aimed at promoting joint venture businesses between the two countries.
The business visit is targeted at consolidating the bilateral relations among the two countries aimed at attracting investment opportunities for the country's development.
The trade mission will include companies interested in exploring business opportunities in a broad array of economic sectors, particularly in the information technology, agriculture, infrastructure among others.
Autoparts, Aviation, Construction, Energy, Oil and Gas, Real Estate, Textiles and Transportation are among the key sectors of interest.
The trade mission from Ghana will also comprise managing directors of information and communication sectors, business leaders and cross boarder traders.
There will be business-to-business meetings with Brazilian companies including JBS Friboi, Queiroz Galvao, Sabo and Stafanini.
In honour of the delegation, the Ghana's Ambasador to Brazil, Wallace Gbedemah will host a business summit to be held in Sao Paolo and will seek to introduce the Brazilian business operators to key issues in Ghana including, how to access the Ghanaian market and the legal aspects in the Ghanaian business environment.
The business-to-business meeting will have key note presentations on the following topics: 'The African growth cradle for the next decade.'
Other speakers at the business summit will include Mr. William des Bordes of Weston Group,Mr. Larry Otoo of Fugars & Co.
