Most Churches at Winneba on Sunday held church services to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ as part of the Easter festivities.
Preaching on the theme; "A year of excellence", the Pastor In-charge of the World Miracle Church International at Winneba, Rev. Oppong Brobbey said if Christ had not resurrected mankind would have become a servant of the devil.
He asked Christians not to go back and dig for the old things buried by Christ but should “walk in the newness of life.”
At the Light House Chapel International at the Winneba, Aparche Area, the Head Pastor Rev. Francis Hammond, who preached on the theme; "As the father has sent me, so I send you", reminded Christians to go all out and preach the Gospel to win many souls who have not heard the good news.
He said before Christians could fight sin, they must live for God and not for themselves.
Delivering the sermon at the end of a three-day Easter convention of the True Church of Christ at the Cape Coast Dioceses, on the theme; "He calleth you", at Winneba, Elder Timothy Abol-Acquah told the congregation that the resurrection of Christ meant the lost glory of mankind had been restored and therefore urged them to believe in Him in order to be set free in life.
