The Ghana Mine Workers Union has taken another giant step to facilitate the growth of Small and Medium scale enterprises by advancing soft loans to such entities in especially Accra.
The union has opened another branch of its Savings and Loans Company at Tudu in Accra. This brings the number of branches of Golden Pride Savings and Loans Company to four (4) after the two (2) in Obuasi and one (1) in Tarkwa.
Speaking to JoyBusiness at the official opening, Managing Director, Johnson Boadi Asamoah said the location of this new branch is strategic towards their aim of hoping become a universal bank in the next 4 years.
“Tudu is the hub or the Heart of Accra central Business district which is dominated by small and medium businesses. So we believe that coming to Tudu, we have come to Accra to mop up the excess liquidity. In other words we are here to serve the SME’s in particular” he said.
Golden Pride Savings and Loans Company is one of the business ventures the Mine Workers Union seeks to leverage to establish a profitable future for mine workers in the country.
