The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) is yet to provide relief items to victims of rainstorm that hit the coastal part of the Central Region, almost seventy-two hours after the incident.
According to officials of the Central Regional NADMO, the National headquarters is yet to respond to its request for assistance for the victims.
Speaking to Joy News' Central regional correspondent, Richard Kwadwo Nyarko, the Regional Coordinator, Yisande Amartey said he is expecting some response from the National Headquarters by Monday, April 7, 2014.
Mr. Amartey noted that the central region NADMO does not have enough stock to cater for the victims of the rainstorm.
Additionally, he could not tell the cost of damage so far caused by the rainstorm, but assuring that cost will be determined, when the full report on the incident is completed.
The rain storm rendered hundreds people homeless, destroyed several schools and uprooted several trees.
