Aspiring General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyepong is said to have been involved in an accident.
The accident occured on the Accra-Nsawam road, according to his aide Davis Opoku-Ansah.
Mr Agyapong and his team were going to Kumasi for a press conference prior to their departure to Tamale for party's National Delegates Conference scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2014.
It is not yet clear how the accident happened, but Davis Opoku-Ansah told Adomonline.com Mr. Agyepong sustained minor injuries but the "campaign photographer is in critical condition".
He said Mr. Agyepong together with the photographer have been rushed to the 37 Military hospital.

Mr Kwabena Agyapong is one of four candidates aspiring for the General Secretary position in the upcoming National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party.
His contender and incumbent General Secretary Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has suspended his campaign in solidarity with Kwabena Agyapong.
He said he was on a campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region when he heard news of Mr Agyapong's accident.
Sir John as he is affectionately called said he would be going to the 37 Military Hospital to visit the accident victims.
