Rlg Communications is planning to replicate in Ghana its solar powered charging and sales kiosk that it recently launched in the Gambia.
This is according to the Executive Director of Rlg Gambia and CEO of Unique Solutions in the Gambia, Papa Yusupha Njie, who said during a visit to Accra that the Rlg/Unique solutions solar kiosk initiative is a public private partnership between the Government of Gambia, Rlg Communications Group and Unique Solutions.
Earlier this year, ten kiosks equipped to offer solar-powered cellphone charging, as well as sales and basic repairs, were launched in the Gambia, creating new job opportunities for youths.
Unique Solutions says its long-term plan is to launch more than 200 such kiosks in the Gambia, manned by its trainees.
