An unemployed, Wisdom Ayitey, who was caught in the night sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl at the back seat of a stationary taxi, has been sent to court for action. With Ayitey in the dock was Courage Awledor, driver of the taxi who had had his turn with the 14-year-old iced water seller earlier in the bush.
Ayitey and Awledor pleaded not guilty and the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Siammeh remanded them to be brought before the court again on May 16.
Police Inspector Emmanuel Okudzeto told the court that the two accused persons met the victim, a class six pupil, weeping over the loss of GH¢ 2, part of her iced water sales.
He said they promised to replace the amount and asked her to enter the taxi to their home for the money.
Inspector Okudzeto said on the way to the house Awledor drove the taxi out of town, dragged the girl into the bush and defiled her while Ayitey went to defecate.
He said when Ayitey returned the two, with their victim, continued the journey to their supposed home but again diverted the taxi to the outskirts of town.
Inspector Okudzeto said Ayitey was having his turn on the back seat of the taxi while Awledor went into the bush to supposedly defecate when police on patrol chanced upon them.
He said Ayitey on seeing the Police quickly disengaged himself from the girl and denied that anything was going on but the relieved victim narrated her ordeal.
Inspector Okudzeto said Awledor escaped when he emerged from the bush and saw the police but he was arrested later.Source: GNA
