A dominant Ghana performance ended with a 2-0 win over Sierra Leone on Saturday in the second-round qualifying for the 2015 African Youth Championship.
The Black Satellites now need a positive result in a fortnight's time at home to secure passage to the last-round.
Goals from Dennis Tetteh and Prosper Kassim handed Sellas Tetteh's side a good in the two-leg tie.
Tetteh opened the scoring in the first half before Kassim doubled their lead after recess.
Ghana, who were losing finalist in the last Championship are pushing for a place in the last-round which will see 14 teams compete for the seven slots available at the finals to be staged by Senegal next year.
