Board of Directors of Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited (GGBL) has expressed their condolence to the family of Mr. P. V Obeng, who until his untimely death was a member of the Board.
P.V. Obeng joined the GGBL Board in 1998 from which time he provided enormous support to the business through experienced counsel and guidance that has contributed to GGBL’s position as the leading total beverage business in Ghana.
According to the beverage company, during Mr P.V Obeng's tenure on the Board the business grew its capitalization from GH¢79,000.00 to GH¢96 million.
"Ghana Guinness Ghana and indeed Ghana has lost a great talent. We remember P.V. Obeng for the astute business insight and guidance he provided at our Board meetings, Annual General Meetings and every time we called on him for support and advice. We are deeply saddened by his death" said Mr. David Harlock, Board Chairman of Guinness Ghana.
Mr Paul Victor Obeng, who was chairman of the National Development Planning Commission died last Saturday after he collapsed at the Agape Filling Station at Spintex Road in Accra.
