An unidentified young man has committed suicide by hanging himself on a tree, Friday morning.
The incident happened on the premises of the Tsavanya DA basic school in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The victim, said to be fair is about 26 years old.
According to a teacher in the school, Jennifer Dogbey, one of her students informed her about the incident early in the morning.
The deceased person is however yet to be identified.
The police reportedly came to the scene to take pictures of the hanged body and went back to Akatsi with the promise of returning with a vehicle to convey the corpse.
The residents have meanwhile been left in shock.
