AC Milan have revealed they are a long way from agreeing a fee with Arsenal for striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The Gunners are believed to value their Togo international striker at ÂŁ36m but Milan are unwilling to pay that much for the 24-year-old. AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said he has spoken to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger about a deal. But he insisted: "Right now we are divided on an important difference in terms of value of the player." Galliani had claimed in June that Adebayor was his club's "sole transfer target" of the summer, although he later said the 2007 European champions could not afford him. And that seems to be the case following the latest twist in yet another lengthy summer transfer saga. After selling Alberto Gilardino to Fiorentina and with Ronaldo out of action because of a serious knee injury, Milan have made signing a striker their top priority. They could now step up their interest in Chelsea's Didier Drogba, who is also attracting the attention of Inter Milan, or make a move for Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o. Source: BBC
