Antonio Conte has quit as Coach of current Serie ‘A’ Champions Juventus.
Conte’s exit has been announced by the club, just a day after the team assembled for pre-season training.
Difficult
Conte, 44, joined Juventus in 2011 after a season with Siena, and won three straight league titles in the 2011/12 - unbeaten, 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons.
-It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus, he said, while confirming his exit, in a video interview carried on the club’s official’s site.
Vacant
Rumors are rife that he called it a day at club level to avail himself for the Italian National team job currently vacant after Cesare Prandelli, now with Turkish side Galatasaray, quit after a disastrous World Cup showing.
Conte, a former midfielder played 419 games for Juventus between 1991 and 2004.
