The Electoral Commission says it is in the last stages of preparations for the by-election in the Nkoranza North Constituency on Tuesday.
According to the Brong Ahafo EC, training is being undertaken for election officials who will supervise the process during the by-election.
In an interview with Joy News, Deputy Director for the EC in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Arthur Yeboah told joy news that it has been in discussions with the political parties contesting the Nkoranza North seat.
Mr. Yeboah says so far all is calm in the constituency of 69 polling stations and expects the polls to finish early enough and run free of problems.
Mr. Yeboah said security will be tight in the constituency to ensure the by-election is violence free.
The contest is between the NPP's Retired Major Derrick Oduro and the NDC's 31-year-old medical doctor, Kofi Amoako Gyambah.
