The Justice Senyo Dzamefe Presidential Commission of Inquiry, is seeking to establish whether, there were double payments to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with regards to friendly matches of the Black Stars.
This was after Alex Mould, Ag. Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Petroleum Company, (GNPC) told the Commission on Tuesday that, his outfit has been paying for expenses of the Black Stars for international friendly matches.
According to the GNPC, they have been paying for airfares, accommodation, and expenses of the Black Stars for friendly matches, but the Commission also stated that, such matches are taken care by FIFA agents or organisers of the match.
The Commission has therefore requested the GNPC, to submit its audited accounts on sponsorship for the Black Stars to enable them verify the claim.
Mr. Mould, however told the commission he was not aware match agents pay for accommodation, air tickets and other expenses for the Black Stars during friendly matches.
According to Mr. Mould, his outfit had been paying for the expenses during friendly matches of the Black Stars, but added that, could be an income for the GFA and his outfit was not interested.
