Ghana moved up three places on the Fifa ranking released for the month of September on Thursday morning.
The Black Stars are now ranked 33rd in the world after amassing four points from the possible six in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
A bore 1-1 draw at home with Uganda was bettered by a hard fought 3-2 win against Togo in Lome in Group E.
But the Black Stars still remained in fourth place on the Africa ranking behind Algeria (20th in the world), Cote d’Ivoire (22) and Tunisia (31).
2014 FIFA World Cup finalists Germany and Argentina have slightly extended their lead over the chasing pack and remain unchallenged at the top.
They are followed in third position by Colombia, who have swapped places with the Netherlands.
The next FIFA ranking will be released on 23 October after two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
