It is very unfortunate for Goosie Tanoh, Kyeretwie Opoku and co to come out from their long political hibernation to call for the rejection of the NPP's Nana Akufo-Addo. Their action smacks of hypocrisy.
The conditions that led to the formation of the National Reform Party still exist in the NDC. The tragedy that befell Dr. Obed Asamoah and Frances Asiam at the Koforidua Congress is a testimony to the fact that the NDC party still does not believe in democracy.
The repeal of the Criminal Libel Law by the NPP administration, spearheaded by Nana Akufo-Addo, has helped promote more space for free expression and free association than under the NDC administration, which Prof. Atta Mills was the vice president for 8 years.
The economic health of Ghana today, under the NPP for 8 years is been much better and well managed than it was under the NDC.
If Goosie Tanoh, Kyeretwie Opoku and co really thinks of GHANA FIRST, as they made us to believe in 2000, they would have been active in building the National Reform Party and help shaped the political culture of GHANA through healthy political debates.
National Reform Party was supposed to make decisions from bottom up, so how come itβs the opposite now?
I still believe the NPP is still the best choice for Ghana today.Credit: George Tawiah-Walker [gtwalker66@msn.com]
