Black stars player, Samuel Inkoom was at his usual best when he helped D.C. United clinch a berth in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday night with a 2-0 victory over Tauro of Panama.
Inkoom, 25, who played 90 Minutes, was again on the assist table when his picture-perfect cross into the penalty area in the 48th minute, was met by Chris Pontius’ powering header to register DC United’s first goal on the night, with Eddie Johnson scoring DC United’s second for the night.
Inkoom said after the game: “I am excited to be part of the team and I am happy we [are] winning our games. I am here to contribute to the success of this great team and very happy the fans [of the club] appreciate my efforts.”
