The former presidential aspirant and the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Arthur Kennedy, has denied allegations he has condemned ex-President Kufuor for building the Golden Jubilee House.
Speaking to Peace FM News, Dr. Arthur Kennedy said, “I did not condemn Kufuor, all I said was he is a good man, but he should not have built the Golden Jubilee House in an election year”.
According to Dr. Kennedy, the building was one of the things their opponents used in campaigning against them.
“Some people in the rural areas lack basic social amenities but we went ahead to use all that money to build a presidential palace - this is not the first time I am talking about this issue, I spoke against it in the year 2007 as well.”
Dr. Arthur Kennedy concluded that they lost the elections because his government took some initiatives during the election year which were not favorable and such initiatives includes the building of Golden Jubilee House.
“That is what I am talking about not condemning the ex-President”.
