A 24-year-old teacher who allegedly exploited a 12-year-old pupil to satisfy his libido is in police grips at Pakyi Number Two, in the Ashanti Region.
Robert Gyamfi is said to have sexually abused the girl on five occasions at his residence.
Nhyira News’ sources say the suspect had perpetrated the alleged crime under the guise of sending the innocent child on an errand to take his books home.
He will follow the girl on each occasion forcibly have sex with her after which he threatened to kill her if she dared disclose the secret act.
The victim’s parents reported the case to police after medical examination revealed sexual abuse.
Parents say the girl had fallen ill under what they say was suspicious circumstances.
A relative, who gave his name only as Chief, said the victim reported her ordeal on one occasion to the school’s headmistress whom he claimed, warned her never to disclose it for the school’s sake.
Police have confirmed the arrest of the suspect who they say had been on the wanted list for similar offences against two other teenagers.
