Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is a doubt as the Black Stars face off with Equatorial Guinea today in the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Al Ain striker clashed with the goalkeeper of Guinea Yattara in an isolation play in the quarter-final after being set up in added time by Andre Ayew.
A scan has been taken on Gyan’s hips, but the Ghana FA has remained mum over the results. Goal Ghana understands the forward is not scheduled to take any part in today’s last-four encounter.
“Gyan is so important to us and we’ll wish he takes part... He is the captain of the team and his exclusion will be a major blow to us,” assistant coach Maxwell Konadu told the press.
The winner of the game will meet Ivory Coast in the final.
