Shops in Equatorial Guinea will be closing by 2pm as part the government’s effort to drum up the host nation’s support against Black Stars in the AFCON 2015 semi-final later Thursday.
Government offices will also work half day today to troop to the Estadio de Malabo, Joy News can confirm.
Surprise pack Equatorial Guinea are still living the dream of a fantastic run in the ongoing AFCON tournament after they reached the semi-finals for the first time in the West African nation’s history.
It is a run made even more sweeter by the fact that three months ago, they were disqualified from playing in the tournament after fielding an unqualified player.
The Equatorial Guinea national football team, nicknamed Nzalang Nacional, will now face the Ghana Black Stars.
The Stars are peaking in the tournament after a shaky start.
