Ghana coach Avram Grant has revealed he wears the same blue shirt because of superstitious reasons.
The Israeli started wearing the ‘lucky’ shirt for the must-win match against Algeria and won the game courtesy Asamoah Gyan’s late strike.
“Everybody in Ghana wants me to wear the blue shirt as it is a lucky shirt,” Grant said in a post-match interview.
“It is great to be in the final. We want to win the cup, we are playing against a very good team and we will go all out.”
Ghana will now play Ivory Coast in Sunday’s final.
Meanwhile today, February 6, is Avram Grant's birthday. What's your birthday message for the coach ahead of the grand finale?
