The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has disclosed that 229 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 bringing the country’s total to 12,193.
According to the Service, four more people have lost their lives after contracting the virus which takes the number of deaths recorded to 58.
Currently Ghana's active cases stands at 7,813. Also, 4326 people have recovered after contracting the virus.
Meanwhile, 13 people are critically ill while four others have been placed on ventilators.
The new cases are spread across the country with 32 from Greater Accra, 70 from Ashanti, 42 from Central, 34 from Savannah, 17 from Western, 11 from Eastern, 11 from Volta, 10 from Upper West and two from Oti Region.
Speaking at a press briefing at the Director-General of the GHS, Dr Patrick Aboagye said that enhanced contact tracing is still ongoing.
He urged the public to continue following the recommended health protocols to ensure limited to no spread of the virus.
