After a shocking 1-2 defeat to Ashgold in the Ghana Premier League, the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have asked coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani to proceed on leave, Asempa Sports understands.
Dramani is said to be angry with the latest decision and has dared the management team to take a definite decision on his long-term future.
Kotoko find themselves in a tricky situation as the dismissal of the coach will lead to huge sums of money being paid as compensation for wrongful termination of his contract.
Even though officials are tight-lipped on the latest development, media reports have suggested the former Ghana Under-17 team coach has been asked to step aside in a bid to find a lasting solution to their faltering campaign.
Dramani has lost the board room support following what many perceive as his recalcitrant stance on his tactics.
He has been accused of tinkering too much with his squad and believed to have lost the dressing room plot as well.
Kotoko have endured a difficult start to life this term where they have managed only two wins from seven games and languish in 10th position
It's however unclear who will replace him in the interim as talks with David Duncan continues. Meanwhile, Heart of Lions trainer Yusuf Abubakar is the latest to be linked with the job
