The Walewale Municipal Hospital in the North East Region has suspended operations following a power outage that hit some parts of the West Mamprusi Municipality on Sunday.
Already, emergency surgeries and Outpatient Department (OPD) treatment are amongst services that have been suspended.
JoyNews' visit to the hospital confirmed that patients were being asked to seek healthcare elsewhere.
National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) clients were also being asked to go home and return when power is restored.
An official of the hospital who spoke to JoyNews' Eliasu Tanko said, two emergency cases were referred to Bolgatanga overnight.
The official also added that, nurses have been compelled to use their mobile phones to perform surgeries.
The hospital's alternative means of power - a generator - also stopped functioning some months go.
Meanwhile, the North East Region has been hit with a humanitarian crisis after floods from the Bagre Dam spillage rendered many homeless.
The flood has also cut off communities and submerged many farms.

Six people have been confirmed dead following days of downpour and the subsequent spillage of water from the dam.

The situation is further worsened by the inability of NADMO to extend support to displaced persons due to heavy rains.
