Kudus Mohammed is a doubt for Black Stars upcoming friendly games against Mali and Qatar this month in Turkey.
The Ajax midfielder is reported to have sustained an injury in training and could miss the games in Turkey.
The 20-year-old played no part in Ajax's first defeat of the season as they were beaten 1-0 by Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Despite being informed about the injury situation of the player, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wants Kudus to travel to Antalya so the Black Stars medical team can assess him.
"The Ajax Amsterdam midfielder is a doubt for the games, but the GFA is insisting that he travels to Turkey on Tuesday for assessment," the GFA wrote on their website.
Kudus has been in impressive form for the Dutch champions so far this season. He was adjudged man of the match in his first game and assisted the winning goal in the next game. Ajax missed his absence on Sunday in their loss to Groningen.
Kudus has made two appearances for the Black Stars. He scored in his debut against South Africa in November last year.
