Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has extended his condolences to the family of murdered Mfantseman MP Constituency, Ekow Quansah Hayford.
In a Facebook post, the second gentleman said he is hopeful that the individuals involved in the MP's assassination will be apprehended and made to face the full rigours of the law.
Mr Quansah Hayford was shot to death by armed highway robbers on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road on his return from a campaign trip on Friday.
President Akufo-Addo has also consoled the family calling for the police to immediately get to the bottom of the matter and arrest the culprits.
He noted in a letter of condolence to Parliament that a well thought out security measures are in place to ensure the safety of all MP's.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, has summoned the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery to appear before Parliament on Tuesday to brief the House on the killing of Mfantseman MP.
