Traders at the Alabar market in Kumasi have resumed trading, 4 days after the shocking daylight robbery and gunshot spree last Friday.
Although having taken steps to improve their own security, some traders who have resumed their trade say they still live in constant fear possible future attacks.
The traders expressed discontent about the failure of the Police to assign a patrol team to the market area.
Last Friday’s robbery recorded the death of a spare-parts dealer, while 3 others sustained various degrees of gunshot injuries as the robbers bolted with an unspecified sum of money.
The attackers fled the scene on motorbikes while firing a few more rounds to prevent them from being chased.
Meanwhile, Police in the Ashanti Region has arrested three persons in connection with the robbery incident.
The suspects have been identified as Hamza Nuhu, 22; Salifu Iddrisu, 18 and Ali Razak, 18.
The Police Service say the arrests bring them a step closer to solving robbery issues in the Region.
