Uganda's health ministry has "corrected" figures it reported last week that showed the country's highest single-day deaths since coronavirus cases were confirmed in March.
Ministry spokesperson, Emmanuel Ainebyoona, has tweeted that the 14 deaths reported last Thursday had occurred in four separate days.
He has apologised for the inaccuracy.
The East African country has so far confirmed 14, 574 cases and 133 deaths.
It is heading to a general election scheduled for January 2021 under strict coronavirus prevention guidelines - but adherence has proven quite difficult.
