The Hadids take holidays seriously – and Thanksgiving is no different. After having a relatively quiet video game-themed Halloween with Zayn and her newborn, Gigi decided to take on hostessing duties on 26 November, preparing a feast with Yolanda and Bella at the family’s Pennsylvania farmhouse.

It seems that Gigi’s months in the kitchen over lockdown have paid serious dividends. In a photograph shared to Instagram, her dining room table can be seen laden with classic Thanksgiving dishes, from roast turkey to macaroni cheese, a holiday favourite in the South.
Also of note: her cream-coloured serving dishes, illustrated with red pastoral scenes that feel quintessentially New England. “For my first Thanksgiving hosting gig, my mom gave me the set of holiday plates we grew up with,” the 25-year-old wrote alongside a teary-eyed emoji – before adding that she had chosen to support independent makers when shopping for her own decorations.

Among the Etsy accounts to get a shout-out from the model: GoldenHorn, where she found her hand-made place mats and table runner; Paperie by Lou, which provided the Hadids’ gourd-inspired place settings; and The NewlyWood, where Gigi bought wooden napkin rings engraved with the word “Thankful”. Martha Stewart would approve.
As for how the Hadids are spending the rest of the long weekend? Gigi is focusing her energies on leftovers (which, like any sane person, she wishes would “last 4ever”), even having a slice of pumpkin pie for breakfast.
Meanwhile, Bella is enjoying quality time with her sister in between jogging between the property’s barn and stables to check in on all of her animals, including a pair of tiny baby goats. Just another day in the charmed life of fashion’s favourite sister act.
