Nigerian actress Stella Damasus has penned a tribute to her late husband, Jaiyejeje Aboderin, on the occasion of his 16th death anniversary.
According to the actress, although it was not an easy task writing the message, the late Jaiye is not the kind of man that can be forgotten.
"We all miss him and talk about him daily. Jay is not the kind of man that you forget. I smile each time I remember or talk about him because that’s what he represented to all who knew him. He brought joy, happiness, comfort and support to all," she wrote.
Stella Damascus married her first husband, Jaiye Aboderin, at the age of 21 in 1999.
The couple had two daughters before he died suddenly in 2004. The two girls are currently at age 21 and 18.
The actress stated that there were times she cried wishing her late husband would have spent some more time with her and their kids.
"But God knows best. Anyone who has lost a spouse will understand what I mean. JAY will never be forgotten."
In addition to her post, Stella Damascus shared a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt designed to pay homage to her late husband.
Her daughters also wore the same t shirts with each paying tributes of their own to their late father.
Stella is currently married to filmmaker Daniel Ademinokan.
