Business owners and managers have been offered a new opportunity to sharpen their leadership skills whilst leveraging new thinking on entrepreneurship in a more practical way.
This is at the maiden Brownstone Business Leadership Summit (BBLS) scheduled to take place next Saturday, 28th February 2015 at the Cleaver House in Accra.
The one-day summit organized by Brownstone Capital seeks to equip up-and-coming business leaders with cutting edge skills for effective leadership to inspire teams and achieve more. The initiative is expected to serve as a catalyst to spark change in how businesses and organizations rise to the challenge of a competitive local and global economy.
This would be through interaction with like-minded people who are building their capacity to become transformational leaders as well as one-on-one session with corporate mentors who can help shape careers and skill set.
The summit is targeted at middle level managers, supervisors, team leaders, young entrepreneurs and business owners. The programme would feature 5 speakers, each of whom will handle a particular skill set for the day. Also is a one-on-one pre-booked mentoring session during which participants can engage with selected mentors on a chosen leadership development challenge.
The Chief Operations Officer of Brownstone Capital, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah threw more light on the summit and how different is this from others business seminars.
“Mr. John Inkoom has been training people for the last 20 years on emotional intelligence for business leadership. I recall some of my early days at Joy FM when my temperament was not necessarily right and I thought I didn’t have the kind of responsiveness required for leadership. One of my HR’s introduced me to Mr. Inkoom and he will be taking us through that”.
“We’ll also spend some time “Mastering the numbers”. All business is about numbers - the revenue, the gross margin, managing the operating costs, the profit before tax. Then, we’ll go for a third session,” using technology to improve your efficiency”. Our friends from Vodafone, our title sponsors, will be taking us through this” he concluded.
The maiden event is sponsored by Vodafone Business Solutions, Stanbic Bank, Phoenix Insurance, Cleaver House and Joy Business.
