Some youth in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to maintain their District Chief Executive, Peter Mensah to ensure development in the area.
According to the youth, the DCE has historically maintained peace as well as supervised major development in the district since his appointment in the year 2017.
The youth at a press conference held in Tuobodom and addressed by Owusu Atta Clement thanked the president for the confidence he reposed in Hon Peter Mensah in his first term in government by appointing him as DCE for the district.
"We wish to bring to the attention of His Excellency the president that Hon Peter Mensah served diligently and creditably when he was given the nod as DCE to represent him (the president) in the Techiman north district."
"Under the good leadership of Hon Peter Mensah, we can confidently say that Techiman north has now become the industrial hub in the bono east region as a result as attracted a lot of investors into the district.
"Apart from the peace that we have enjoyed and witnessed under his sterling leadership, we have also witnessed lot of developmental projects across the district".
They added that "Under his term as the DCE, he initiated a lot of projects, some of them have been completed and others at various stages of completion and also completed all projects initiated under the previous government".
