The Bono Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has assured the family of the late Adamu Wahab, the farmer whose body was found on his farm at Wenchi.
At a meeting with the Wenchi Zongo community leaders, Bono Regional Police Commander, COP Godfred Owusu-Boateng, said the police will ensure justice is served.
He called on the public to volunteer information for a speedy and up-to-scratch investigation.
He commended the leadership of the Zongo community and the Wenchi Traditional Council for making sure that calm has returned to the Bono regional town of Wenchi.
An Islamic Cleric, Sheik Umar Adam, reiterated the need for the police to conduct a credible investigation that will eventually get the perpetrators punished according to the law.
Queen mother of the Wenchi Traditional Area, Nana Atoa Seremangyedua, said, “this kind of thing has never happened on our land, so please make sure you let out every truth in this case because all eyes are you”.
She further appealed to REGSEC to double up investigations into the case in order to arrive at an early conclusion.
REGSEC also visited the crime scene where the late Adamu Soldier’s body was found and the vandalised properties of one Nana Ameyaw, otherwise known as God Bless.
