St Louis SHS on Tuesday qualified for the quarter-final stage of this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) by a hair.
Huda Adam and Owusuaa Acheampong of St Louis SHS nearly went packing but with 1 point, they now get to have the opportunity to battle for the 2021 NSMQ trophy.
The contest involving St Louis SHS, St Hubert Min. Sem. SHS and GSTS proved to be a nerve-racking kind.
At the onset, St Hubert Min. Sem with 18 points led Round One. Both GSTS and St Louis SHS scored 14 points.
But from Round Two to Four, the tides changed to favour St Louis SHS. They gained dominance and attempted to lead with a huge margin.

Getting to the end of the contest, hearts began racing. St Hubert Min. Sem had charged so hard like a bull towards a matador just to secure the lead position and gain a slot in the one-quarter stage of the competition.
They huffed and puffed but just could not pull down the fortress that housed Huda Adam and Owusuaa Acheampong of St Louis SHS - unfortunately exiting the competition with 45 points at the end of the day.

St Louis SHS carried the day with 46 points, also shuttering the hopes of GSTS who were predicted to show great prowess in the competition.
Students of St Louis SHS present at the Kumapley auditorium of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) celebrated their victory with a number of songs.
