Social media users have begun distancing themselves from the colour red due to the unexpected defeat and ill-performance of Mfantsipim School and Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS), respectively, at the one-eighth stage of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz.
The two-male schools predicted to be great forces to reckon with could not rise to the occasion on Tuesday to deliver a devastating blow against their contenders to enable them to secure a slot at the quarter-final stage.
Botwe was eliminated by Ghana National College after the school rightly answered the tiebreaker question. As a result, they exited the contest with 39 points.
For GSTS, they could not find their balance in the contest against St Louis SHS and St Hubert Min. Sem. SHS.
Whiles St Louis SHS emerged victorious with 46 points and St Hubert Min. Sem. close by with 45 points, GSTS ended the contest with 20 points.
Botwe's third failed attempt and GSTS's lack of enthusiasm have agitated supporters and old students of the two schools.
